1. Roe v Wade was in 1973, nearly fifty years ago.

Which means that no one under 60, maybe no one under 70, really understands what life was like before then. They never knew women who were desperate to end an unwanted pregnancy and did all sorts of dangerous things. They never knew someone who died from an illegal abortion. They never knew someone who's reproductive live was ended by a botched abortion.

Six of the nine Supreme Court Justices are too young to remember life before Roe v. Wade. Which is in part they think that ending it is quite benign, sort of like outlawing aspirin.
