"A Gentlewoman's Guide To Murder", Victoria Hamilton. [View all]

I picked this up at the library, a truly fascinating read. A group of English society women in Regency England (1810) have come together to rescue children sold into sexual slavery to upper class pedophiles. One of the group, known in the tabloids s the Avengress, risks her life in these daring rescues. Hours after her latest rescue, the pervert is murdered, setting off a hunt for the killer that will shake th foundations of her world. A brilliant commentary on patriarchy, the non-status of women and children, slavery, and pedophilia and much more.

The timing of reading that today, and with all the gqp foaming about pedophiles, and the bill in TN, struck me as interesting, to say the least.
