I'm a 54 year old white guy.

I can state unequivocally that most of my contemporaries are unwilling or unable to see the real problems.

I've been told the young are lazy and selfish, medicare is too good a deal, and the latest one, a colleague who was scoffing about $15 minimum wage. I asked him if he thought it would be better to have Walmart pay lower wages and the government spend $6 billion annually on aid for these underpaid individuals who need the funding to survive....silence.

Women, minorities have lived through the consequences of the privilege I hold.

They should be the ones to lead us to a better place.

I hope we get there one day.
