Just as I was planning a visit to a local Unitarian church last Sunday, it was hotter than hell here and my blood pressure shot up sky high. I don't altogether discount that I vaguely recall having another PTSD nightmare about the situation I described but my blood pressure persisted a few days. The exposure therapy helped significantly to reduce the reaction to these nightmares, but going through the horrible shit the Westboro-and-ilk freaks put god only knows how many people through, I'm still surprised there isn't some major class action against them, but in those areas of the country, I guess that's not surprising.
Turned out doc thinks I'm just having a stealth "bug" infection. He switched me out to an N95 mask at intake when clerk discovered I had a low grade fever. I'm recently retired health care worker with history of a lot of exposure to COVID, undoubtedly every strain. I'm not the only one who can test positive for COVID and hardly show any symptoms. But my diastolic reading was through the roof. I only knew something was quite wrong, dizzy, ears pounding. He put me on stronger blood pressure dose and a mild diuretic. I'll find outtoday if it's COVID and quarantine a few days accordingly. I grocery- shopped up with that N95 on enroute home from the city yesterday accordingly.
Let me know how your scope ordeal went. Ugh I quite dislike having those, and my doc has let me slide with occult blood stool tests yearly. I have had to go through some other medical torture occasionally I'd rather not discuss in detail but so far, since surgery 1 1/2 years ago, it looks like I might be "in the clear now".
