I am a boringly straight woman, but I've had gay and lesbian friends and relatives forever. I'm even pleased to report that I know two trans people, one trans man, one trans woman, and I'm fascinated by them. Honestly, we need to have more diversity in Congress.

Oh, and I've been saying for some years now, that all new Supreme Court Justices need to be women, and then we need to have an all female Court as long as we had an all male Court.
