"I love my mother... but I don't like her. And, I am pretty sure the feeling is mutual." Learning your parents are not the universal, all-knowing, all loving deities you thought they were when you were a little kid is a tough lesson to internalize. Learning they are worse is more than devastating. My heart goes out to that boy, and I hope he finds love and happiness with his new mate. Just as I did.
