Tiffany Trump mocked for 'Trump Pride' speech, touting father's record on LGBTQ rights [View all]

Because Tiffany Trump says all her “best friends are gay,” she and her father’s reelection campaign apparently thought she would be the ideal person to host a “Trump Pride” event in Tampa, Florida Saturday to shore up support for the president in the LGBTQ community.

But even as President Donald Trump’s second daughter enthusiastically danced her way up to the dais, shouting “I love you all,” her speech didn’t go down well, judging by comments on Twitter. A clip of her speech became a top trending topic on Twitter Tuesday — and not for good reasons.

The comments ranged from mild amusement for her awkwardly exuberant presentation to harsh ridicule to the outright declaration from Daily Beast editor at large Molly Jong-Fast: “This may be the worst speech I’ve ever seen.”




Some users thought “Saturday Night Live” should hire Miley Cyrus to play Tiffany in a satirical sketch that would include other Trump family members that the show has lampooned over the years.
