More importantly, no one is being punished or even denied the ability to speak about the Israel / Palestinian conflict on campus. SJP is simply being denied recognition as an official student group as explained in the letter, the likely only real effect is the denial of some funding and possibly official access to certain facilities as a group.

I'm actually a graduate of Fordham's law school (the same Manhattan campus at issue), and am well acquainted with the university both as a former student and active alum. If you believe Fordham's response is inconsistent with its stated values, politics or past positions, you really don't know much about Fordham and its Jesuit administration.
