Pure fucking bullshit.

We should have had a fully functioning high speed rail system in California by now, but the airline, auto and oil industries have spent untold millions over the years lobbying against it and as a result it's been deliberately set up to fail.

If you've ever been stuck on I-5 in a traffic jam in the middle of fucking nowhere in the Central Valley you'd realize just how badly we need this.

This is why we can't have nice things.
