I want to leave my new job after 6 months -- what do I say during interviews?? [View all]

I was employed at the same company for 34 years but had to leave due to a toxic environment and subtle age discrimination by management. Last Nov I got a new job but don't like the environment-- it's a stretch from what I was doing and the manager is passive aggressive to me (assigning my projects to others, not supporting training). And we have had 2 reorgs and I`m a different level (due to experience) than I was hired for. I have mentioned this to my manager but her response was that given my experience, I should figure it out. Ok...

So I applied for a job that's the same area/responsibilities but with another company. This other company has a better reputation and I have several friends working there so I feel more comfortable. I have an interview on Tuesday.

My question is, what do I say about my current job? I included it on the resume since it will show up on background checks.

Thanks

Paula
