I found a dentist; I bought an affordable policy that didn't have a waiting period for major procedures and I cut costs. I scheduled appointments. Three visit claims later on a treatment plan she said, "no can do the rest; you have bad BP -- go see your doctor before you come back." Equally scary costs involved; no insurance except Medicare A/B and a prescription plan; and no doctor; marital trust broken as well--but together we could cover food, shelter, and utilities. I've never been back to either doctor and dentist for anything. Knock on wood; fully vaxxed and boosted via the pharmacies; never had CoVid...Things are minimally better now...from time to time I think about trying to fix my disintegrating teeth again and/or fixing my 2002 car which is not driveable for want of a water pump, etc... Both, it seems, are financial fantasies. I'm white, uselessly and minimally degreed debt-free, but definitely not elite nor rich enough!

BTW, I think my sister did the same as your BIL. She and her spouse, my brother and parents had a fairly good reason for all the scheming, and many would think less of me should I say it plainly. I guess I was too naive and upset to see how it would play out at the time... I've had a hard time sorting it all out but have made a sort of peace with what happened via plausible excuse(s)?. Except for sis, all are now deceased. Well, the Fat Lady hasn't sung yet I guess but she's waiting in the wings and I'm gonna give her a hard time getting on stage!!! Gonna stick around to vote as long as I can...
