I was fired 3 times. Twice I never made to the door before they changed their mind and called me back. The other time it took them 3 days to call me back. That last time was the best. First my Rep told me he got me back. The the foreman told me he got me back. Then the top manager, who fired me that day, on my shift called me into his office to let me know he got me back. I always kept a copy of the local and National contracts in my locker and read them both.
Got to retire 22 years ago at age 52.
