16. Corporate greed is killing our culture.

Stories like yours tell of bonds between people. Your friend even recognized you after years because of shared experiences. You told of company events that brought everyone together year after year until buy-outs and the loss of those union jobs.
That is what we lost--not just in one sector, but many. People have had to cope and move around finding jobs wherever they can. Companies don't host family gatherings in their communities anymore. Kids (at least too many) aren't growing up comfortably in their homes, getting good educations and starting their own families like in the recent past. It is shattered and not the fault of immigrants at the border, trans people, or wokeness.
It is greed.
Thank goodness for Joe Biden and for those who support him. Thank goodness for people like you.
