That's what you get when you don't pay attention to politics, rules, and want to keep your "independence".

I blame Sanders for this misinformation. He made it appear as if the Democratic Party primaries are exactly like the G.E. where everybody and his uncle can vote in every Democratic Party primary election to choose the Party's nominee. That's not how it works at all, and he should've told them. Were that the case, Republicans or Libertarians would be able to openly rat-breed with the process, choosing the Democratic Party's nominee for us - which, in their best interest, would be the weakest candidate who's easiest to beat.
