As much as I liked Clinton during his two terms, I look back and realize that a lot of the financial good times during that era were just bubbles. And bubbles eventually turn into pyramids, where the bottom can no longer keep things afloat. That goes for the dot.com era, the real estate market, and of course, Wall Street.

In the end, someone ends up paying for someone else's good times.
