What if the CO &US Democratic Party asked CO Secretary of State Griswold to run for the US Senate. [View all]

Griswold-D is current statewide elected official (elected CO Secretary of State in 2018 by an 8 percent margin against a sitting Republican incumbent.) She would be the first female US Senator from CO.
Here is a list of US Senators who served as a low level statewide elected official in the middle of their first term before getting elected to the US Senate.
Hawley(R-MO) MO Attorney General(2017-2019) before unseating McCaskill-D.
