I agree. Starting anew will allow you to move full speed toward developing a movement that progresses. If you take the time to read the work of others you can build a core group of members who stand firmly for the principles of your collective efforts.

Otherwise, the most effective way to deal with those who fear and hate 'outsiders' is to understand them as closely as you can. This way, you may empathize with them and more accurately imagine what set of circumstances you might have to experience in order to view the world through there eyes. The closer you can get to their mind the closer you come to recognizing the heart of the problem.

Of course, it is also vital that you determine the usage of your time wisely. Some achievements are simply not worth the effort.
