2. As I sit here, I can hear volleys of fireworks across the Firth of Clyde in Greenock/Gourock.

They always have relatively small displays (i.e big for a private display/not massive for a public one) in parks dotted around that locality. I think we get a prettier view than those attending do.

There's usually a really big public display on Greenock waterfront, but I didn't notice whether it happened this year as our neighbours were trying to hold their own wee display on their back lawn right outside our living room window (I think their fireworks must have been damp, as most of them fizzled out).
