So yeah they switched to diesel vans a long while back since fewer and fewer people were using the milkman, depots were closed down and the electric milkfloats just didn't have the range or speed. In the 80s the milkfloat (electric) was a familiar sight to me... By the 90s our family got the milk from the supermarket instead. My dad's family though continued with the milkman, and still do.
