…against incumbent GOP justices on the Criminal Appeals Court, Paxton supported the insurgents and they all won. Maybe they will be more compliant if he had to appeal his own criminal conviction. He’s still under investigation for the bribery part of his impeachment effort.

It’s Trump’s playbook - appoint sympathetic judges.
