10. And way less than gas or the electricity to charge your car

The only thing is, Texas has one of the lowest gas taxes in the country - 20 cents per gallon. So a person driving a gas or diesel fueled vehicle would have to burn through 100 gallons of gas per month to pay the equivalent amount of gas tax. That's probably way more than your average commuter. In that sense, it seems punitive.
