Republicans are slamming a Texas blogger funded by the campaign for Democratic Rep. Vicente Gonzalez that called newly elected GOP Rep. Mayra Flores Miss Frijoles and a "cotton-pickin' liar," adding to yet another Democrat flub when addressing Hispanic people.
The blog, called the The McHale Report, called Flores "Miss Frijoles" 21 times in its post, NBC News reported. The McHale Report, run by blogger Jerry McHale, was paid $1,200 in June by Gonzalez campaign for advertising services," but has not published any Gonzalez ads.
Flores tweeted on Monday, July 18, that the blogger was running "hateful & racist ads" against her.
