3. Josh Shapiro is a fascinating guy

as he has been able to garner quite a bit of "crossover" votes - both from Republicans and indies when he has run for state-wide office. In fact, when he ran for his current AG position both in 2016 and in 2020, he actually garnered MORE total votes than either Presidential candidate ((D) or (R)) in both 2016 and 2020.

One of my sisters lives in the county just outside of Philly where his election to the County Commissioners helped to break the historic GOP stranglehold for control of that county (this was also the same government entity where Tweety's brother Jim Matthews was a GOP Commissioner at one time).

Shapiro's father is a pediatrician and child advocate.
