DUI driver crashes into horse and buggy, injuring two and killing horse [View all]
A Chester County, Pa, man is being held at Lancaster County Prison after state police said he crashed into a horse and buggy while under the influence this weekend. 41-year-old David Pulket, of Atglen, is accused of driving drink in the 500 block of Strasburg Road, Paradise Township at 1 a.m. Sunday, according to police.
Pulket crashed into a horse and buggy, causing serious injury to the two people in the buggy and killing the horse, police said.
Pulket then drove about a mile down the road,
only leaving his vehicle when it became engulfed in flames,
and then ran four miles until he was located by state police.
After being taken into custody, Pulket was charged with felony counts of aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence, accidents involving death or injury while not licensed and aggravated assault by vehicle, according to online court dockets. He was also charged with two counts of DUI.
Bail was set at $100,000 for Pulket, and he has not been able to post.
