4. Ya know truth is an absolute defense against slander.

Years ago I was a court reporter in a rich guy's divorce. He dragged the trial out for six weeks and eventually refused to post a bond to cover the costs of the trial transcript, so the court reporters stopped his appeal. That meant we were evil and "practicing law without a license". Uh, no, you idiot. We are protecting ourselves from your cheapness.

He decided to represent himself. He was a heart surgeon and completely nuts. Donn Fullenweider, partner of famed criminal defense attorney Racehorse Haynes, got rich people divorces. He was representing the wife.

Allegedly, Mr. Fullenweider called the husband a son of a bitch, in court, under his breath, at counsel table, and the guy heard it. However, I would say that if the Petitioner was indeed a son of a bitch, then that would not be slander.
