9. Mail-in voting changed my voting habits. I ALWAYS vote now.

When I had to physically go to the polling place I did not always vote -- sometimes I failed to plan ahead to set aside time on the relevant Tuesday to do so, and sometimes I did plan ahead but shit happened and I simply could not get to the polling place that day.

The other big change was when my county went from having to request a mail-in/absentee ballot at each different election to the option of permanent mail-in status (which expired when you failed to return a ballot just once), and then further to universal mail-in balloting for all registered voters.

I know voter "turnout" amongst my immediate family also went from high to near-perfect with the adoption of default/universal mail in balloting.

Hopefully the people of PA will have an easier time having their voices heard with this development.
