I can tell you they aren't added to the vote count for your candidate unless the county is too close to call.

But, remember in this scenario the person must come up with a valid ID.

Most provisional ballots IME are folks voting at the wrong precinct and they are either pressed for time or too lazy to go to their correct one. (Don't be that person).
