4. I had a pot of out on fire...

and flames melted the microwave and reached to the ceiling. I didn't have time to read the instructions on the fire extinguisher but remembered hearing that basking soda puts fires out fast. I grabbed the open boxes in my fridge and freezer and the fire was out instantly. Poor microwave was beyond dead.

I am paranoid since my grandmom got badly burned while trying to put out a kitchen fire after picking some herbs outside.
