Who can improve public education and legalize recreational marijuana in New Mexico? [View all]
Jan 10, 2019 - SANTA FE — Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, addressing the New Mexico Legislature on Tuesday for the first time as governor, initiated the 2019 legislative session with a state of the state address focused on responsible, essential investments in public education.
Also, following the lead of citizens, police (APD) and the Mayor of Albuquerque, where marijuana was recently decriminalized, except in DUI cases, Grisham stated that while she would not introduce legislation to legalize recreational marijuana, she would sign it into law with state congressional approval.
