Christie: NJ Voters Don't Want Me As Prez Because 'They Want Me To Stay'

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) said on Monday that New Jersey voters don't want him to run for president because they want him to stay on as governor.

Fox News' Megyn Kelly cited an April Quinnipiac poll, in which 65 percent of New Jersey voters said Christie would not make a good president, and asked Christie, "Why shouldn't we trust them?"

"They want me to stay," Christie answered. "A lot of those people in that 65 percent want me to stay. And I've heard that from lots of people at town hall meetings. 'Don't leave to run for president because we want you to stay.'"
