7. I think the Minnesota DFL got a little complacent last time, too.

They didn't seem to put much effort in supporting the ticket, maybe figuring that since Minnesota hadn't voted for a GOP candidate since 1972 it was in the bag in 2018. I ran all over town trying to find Clinton/Kaine lawn signs and couldn't get one. I didn't even see very many, even here in the People's Republic of Minneapolis. I don't know whether the state party or the national campaign was to blame for this, but there didn't seem to be much of a presence, at least that I saw. Add the Russians and other factors and what should have been a blowout was much too close for comfort.
