As a Minnesota constituent, I knew that Minnesota was a toss up in 2016 presidential fight, and losing Al Franken at that time was heartbreaking. Minnesota has a liberal background via the DFL with strong roots. I am praying that the damage done to our farming communities will persuade people to vote for their interests, not for a "pie in the sky", lying, pseudo-businessman filled with hate. I do know that my rabid trumper family members have become silent over the past few months. Their Facebook pages are now filled with puppies, kitties, and kiddies, not the ugly propaganda that they were posting prior to that. However, at a family reunion recently, two family members did bring up a rant against Somali employees at the plant where my BIL works. No one present joined the rant. There were crickets from everyone else there. I am hoping that is showing progress toward sanity.
