3. In my area, they will be so thick that they will be pelting my face every time I go outside.

People use shop vacs to clear them off the sidewalks. Even driving is a hazard as your windshield will be struck by a couple dozen per minute. Like driving through a storm of dark, squishy hailstones. And the noise is like living on an airport runway.

The good news is that it only lasts a week or two.
