Baltimore hospital accused of 'patient dumping' after woman left in cold [View all]

BALTIMORE, Maryland -- A viral video has caused outrage after a patient, wearing only a thin gown, was left in the cold at a bus stop by security guards outside a hospital, reports say.

Now University of Maryland Medical Center is being accused of "patient dumping," CBS News reports, which is often involves homeless patients or other people who are uninsured or have financial issues.

Imamu Baraka captured the incident in Baltimore on video Tuesday night, Fox 5 News reports. He saw the hospital's security guards wheel the woman to the bus stop and leave her there along with bags of belongings, reports say.

She was wearing a hospital gown and socks, with temperatures in the low 30s.
