Helicoptered over the lava lake at the summit and some small active fissures down hill. Nothing like what's going on now but did see the aftermath of the 1980's eruption and neighborhoods gone forever, burired in the stuff yards thick.

As for the tourists...I'd go back in a heartbeat to see it now. Totally fascinated by it. Only time and money prevent me.
