from insurance companies. Name recognition is half the battle in politics these days. And this guy's name, face and voice can be seen and heard everywhere...tv, radio, bus benches, billboards...everywhere, 24/7.

Morgan probably switched to "Independent" knowing that a "D" after a candidate's name in a Florida general election is poison in most of the state. I'd probably vote for him over the usual sacrificial weak-sauce candidate the Florida Democratic Party always puts on the ballot here.

However, I would suggest Morgan name his party the "Suing Insurance Companies Party." Everyone in Florida despises all lines of insurance companies. Maybe he could get Mangione to endorse him?
