3. One year when I lived there, some time in the mid 1970s,

fall was exceptionally beautiful, and when I got off work at 4:30pm from DCA (National Airport), I'd often drive all the way down to Mt. Vernon on the George Washington Parkway, just to take in the fall colors. It was wonderful.
