and they made a reference to the very low pay teachers receive. That was 60 years ago and nothing has changed. As long as women are the majority of teachers and staff there will be unfair pay. My master teacher taught me this when I was student teaching. Also, elementary school teacher are valued as Day Care providers more than educators. Long hours (50+ a week is average) and low pay as well as little respect is why teachers are fed up.
