Thanks for the post; I agree that Hick is always trying to straddle the fence and we need to push against his actions, especially his support of oil and coal. And his actions regarding marijuana while backing breweries and alcohol, which is much more dangerous for our young people. But I also know that much of the state outside of a few areas votes to the extreme right and rarely gives up its fundamentalist, militarist views. Perhaps all we can do is vote for Demos like Hick and try to get good liberals into the State House and Senate. We have had the same problem supporting Michael Bennett with his sad ties to Anschutz and corporations. But he now has power in the Senate and can make a difference if he must work with liberal Demo Senators and the Administration.
