Two beautiful towns full of relatively left-leaning individuals. It is nice to see them pushing back against nonsense, but just be aware, it's an island of blue in a relatively red ocean.

It does point up one of the idiosyncrasies of Colorado politics. Most rural places are pretty red, and CO pretty much follows that rule, unless it involves significant tourism.
