Does he do this because there is some sort of grift involved, or does he believe the nonsense he spouts?

Growing up in a family that spent decades grifting off the government (= us taxpayers) makes me think this is his chosen profession.

I wonder whether he's being funded by government-hating forces to stir up the rubes.
