The state funeral board has been taken over by the state insurance board.

It's one of the biggest conflicts of interest that I've personally seen.

Insurance has BIG influence on funeral homes and how they are regulated. I fought with them for a long time when I exposed my former boss's embezzlement. The insurance board wanted to keep it quiet, afraid letting the local people know about it would negatively affect preneed sales.

You know, sinking, I'm just tired of fighting around here.
