1. Why not a additional line for biological parents

on birth certificates? It certainly makes sense for things like family medical history and benefits like social security or child support to know who the biological parents are. And, it's easy enough to black out that info if it's a closed adoption when the child the parent/child requests a birth certificate.

Times have changed. The traditional sequence of man, woman, marriage, children is being found less and less today. There are not only same-sex marriages; but single parent, by choice, families; blended families; adoptive parents; surrogate parents etc.
