Almost back, with something special

Since Hurricane Milton my focus has been cleanup and reconstruction and coupled with some personal health issues has been rather slow progress. Cleanup has me outside more consistently all day long, which has afforded the opportunity to watch my resident hawks more than ever before. This pair have been interacting like this for two weeks, quite often stopping my work to watch! I wasn’t sure what their relationship was, friend or foe, but finally yesterday I witnessed the truth, albeit without my camera. In an oak tree I watched them mate and then fly off to the nesting area across the street!
