And, he's playing an old electric sitar. That why the sustain is so minimal and it sounds like it does.

Denny did TONS of studio work back in the day.

So many Dan songs have guitar solos by guest players (like Elliott Randall on Reelin' In The Yearss), but thing is, Walater Becker is a REALLY good player. He just preferred to have other people come in so there was a different feel on the solos, rather than all of them being his.

I have a DVD of SD. He plays 2 or three solos and they're excellent. Smooth. Good ideas. Great tone. Yet, his ego was so in-check that he preferred to let others do it on record.
