Fess up, who in the audience shouted this out???
Great song but, bands hate it shouted from an audience.
Jackson Brown did a basic solo show in Asheville at the Thomas Wolf theater. Some drunk (years ago, probably a MAGA now) kept shouting play Free Bird, and not only Brown, all of us wanted to kick his ass out.
The next day an editorial in the paper quoted Brown saying, “never again, not coming back here”.
The song is usually accompanied by confederate flags.
But hella guitar shredding. The new members scattered in still do it justice.
But, time and place make it fun to hear.
