10. I'm an avid quilter, and also do a little crochet and counted cross-stitch.

With cotton prices through the roof, I'm mostly making do with fabric in my stash. My fabric purchases are way down this last year - I've only bought flannel (for rag quilts) and solids.

I don't do any complicated crochet these days, mostly pot holders and an occasional ripple quilt for a baby gift.

I also dabble in a bit a beaded embroidery.

I sold a bunch of old cross-stitch books and magazines last year, and gave a ton of unused floss to my best friend's daughter. I only kept supplies for a handful of projects that I really want to make.

I did needlepoint in college, and learned to knit in high school, but never really kept up with those. Before I had kids, I did a lot of clothing construction - suits with lined jackets and bound buttonholes, pants with fly-front zippers, slash pockets and french seams.

Time is a huge factor. And when we retire in a couple of years, I'll have more time but much less money. Can't win!
