We got to see about a dozen of his paintings in Paris, first time for me.

I was blown away. No image reproduced in a book, or online can do them justice.

The saturation, 3D depth (literally thick paint brushstrokes), which creates shimmering effects is stunning.

I'm not a huge art follower, but wow, these Van Goghs just knocked my socks off.
