55. Excellent brushwork and use of color to show highlights

and deep shadows. It’s quite painterly with your bold brush strokes and colors on the shadow side of the portrait. The darkness emphasizes the white fur so the viewer knows they are looking at the portrait of a solid white dog. I appreciate that immensely!

You did a great job of capturing the dog’s expression with the way you depict the eyes and the layed back ears as if he realizes he’s been caught doing something he shouldn’t. I can remember the dogs in my life who had that look and I get a rush of love for them. Your work is excellent that way. It’s surely a painting for anyone who has ever had dogs in their daily lives.
