Explore the possibilities of the designs. Sometimes to the effect of large stream of conscious applications with the repetition of shapes in different sizes and colors. I think Hunter likes color and allows himself to doodle with it and he likes the different effects of the various mixtures and surface interactivity. These all feel like experimental explorations of the paint as well as the composition and the surface on which he painted. They’re exciting to look at and demand close scrutiny so the viewer can make sense of them. I really like art that challenges the viewer in some way. His work is eye popping too. The colors alone are fantastic, very clean and compelling. They have a slightly visually explosive quality.

His flowers are quite lovely and compelling. His geometrical designs are excellent too. I feel that he pushes his subject matter and the application of form, color and design further than most artists would and this gives his work a unique freshness and perspective.

Good work! Very effective in an explorative manner. It looks like it’s very natural for him. And his work invites you to explore it also. It’s challenging and fun. I like that.
